The extreme version of Momentum continued
Today we are going to take a closer look at what can cause an extreme state of Momentum, leading to hyper focus.
In my case I had been talking to my peer group before getting into this extreme state of Momentum. We had been discussing ideas, sharing our obstacles and victories, creating the feeling of a mutual bond. The atmosphere was good and so were the food and drinks during those hours. All in all enough reason to get in the flow.
Let’s add the follow to this: A little over two weeks ago, I was a still in the atmosphere of being amongst likeminded during a training which lasted an extensive 5 days, with days which were over twelve hours without a break. Tony Robbins is a force who wants to get across as much as he can and so he and his colleagues did. By talking about this, my state of mind was being triggered again.
Even more so we had each created a poster with our business processes and on there was what we needed to change, add, do more or less of or simply delete. Please note that the changes of this being really simple are slim to none, because otherwise we would have done so already. I had put this poster up on the side of a closet so I would be able to see it. This wasn’t necessary about the need to study it, since we had gone over it like forever, but knowing it’s there in writing is a huge support and stimulant by itself.
And then there were a couple of other very important things, all related to one another, which had taken place prior to the meeting and at the end of the meeting.
I had listened to a meditation which gave me a vision of what I could expect in the next few months l if I would push through with my course on Momentum. That vision was not only the result of the meditation, it was also the result of listening to Brendon Burchard systematically every day. He had been teaching us last September and October about launches and how to get our products out there within thirty days. And whereas I hadn’t succeeded I was still in touch with fellow students and had made several attempts to create the training I felt would work.
I did have two great motivators though keeping me focused in my goal. One who knows all about launches and marketing and is regularly asking me about my progress and another person who can get in that same state-like zone and just can keep going till it’s finished. I will agree that it resembles something similar to hyper focus, but regardless, it works. And seeing one do it, rubs off on others. If I see people who work on their mission and their goals, I want to do so too.
Let’s return to the meeting again. At the end of the meeting I had done a meditation of my own for the whole group and they were very surprised and enthusiastic. For me this a major part of my upcoming training, combining audio and video with mindsets and meditation to get in the right zone (brain waves). Them being that enthusiastic was an enormous power boost for me.
After a few hours of sleep I had dinner with a friend and we continued on about the meeting and what I wanted and needed to do. I had asked her for support earlier this week and she was there to give it to me ever since.
Not having been able to work on it after the meeting, made me eager to get to work on it once I got home little after midnight. I still experienced the aftereffects of the flow I had been creating for myself before, enforced by talking about it with my MasterMind group and also sharing it with others, And so I continued working on it. Till close to noon the next day. No food, no drinks, no getting out of my chair. Instead I was focused on the smaller and bigger improvements, which I worked on diligently and methodically.
When I finally decided it was time for a break, it was because I had basically been running out of ideas, plus I needed to shoot two more videos. One for the day before and one for the piece I had been writing about last night. It wasn’t until that moment I took a well deserved break.
Time to recap what got me in the flow:
- Getting up in the morning with a meditation focused on doing things which make a difference;
- Rewatching the training from Brendon Burchard the night before;
- Having dedicated myself during that same training more than six months earlier to keep working on it till I would succeed;
- Talking to Brendon’s mum about what I had achieved and why, in my meditation;
- Putting the poster, I had made and discussed during the Business Mastery from Tony Robbins on the closet, with all the notes to work on!
- Talking to my peer group (MasterMind group) and telling them about the course from Tony Robbins;
- Talking to a friend earlier that week, explaining I could use some extra support, who ever since sent me little text messages asking how I was progressing;
- Being in contact with the students who also had attended Brendon ‘s course last year, motivating one another;
- Being contacted by one other course instructor about my progress;
- Being in daily contact with someone who is as determined to make his business and creations as successful and out there for the world to enjoy as I am.
There will likely be more, but I’d say this is a pile on top of an already burning desire to get moving ahead. Especially since I already had started a couple of weeks earlier and unexpectedly had come to a grinding hold due to numerous circumstances. And not being able to get back at it again, having regained my voice and after getting being back in the vibe of those courses again, once I told my peers about it, made me excited to get working on it again as soon as possible. And then once I started, I couldn’t stop anymore.
Now it’s time for you to think about how you can create Momentum:
- Have you written down yet what you need to work on? However big or small?
- Do you know what has been keeping you from getting there?
- What would help you to make a fresh start?
- Who or what can inspire you to get into that Momentum?
